The Blue Note Cafe – Glastonbury
The Blue Note Cafe is situated at the bottom of Glastonbury high street and serves an excellent array of vegetarian and vegan food. There is also a licensed bar and during peak season the cafe opens late on a Friday and offers live entertainment.
Primarily a daytime cafe the Blue Note is perfectly placed on the high street to sit and watch people wandering by all day. There are large windows onto the street and benches right in the window.
The Schnitzel on offer at the Blue Note is meat free but you would never know it. It’s a fantastic meal any day of the week and as with all of the meals at The Blue Note you won’t be left wondering where the rest of the meal is. Be prepared to be challenged by the portion size.
Local cider, ale and very fine coffee are all on offer throughout the day and there is a speakeasy cocktail menu for special events and evening openings.
Glastonbury is a short drive to the west of Applebarn along the A361. Follow the signs to the town centre and then use one of the many pay and display car parks throughout the town.

Other Places to Visit...
Subhouse in Wells is a reasonably recent addition to the area and has quickly made a name for itself as THE burger restaurant in Somerset. Great vibe and great food. Check it out.
Don’t let the outside fool you, inside the Sheppey hides a restaurant of exceptional quality. Call ahead to book and give yourself enough time to have a stroll in the countryside around the pub before hand. Another Sunday roast of amazing quality in the area.
Our local! Quality food in a friendly environment. Great real ales and wine. Take an evening stroll and spend an hour (or two, or three…) in the Red Lion.
